The General Library has the collection development unit, consisting of Acquisitions and technical processes, the latter is responsible for cataloging and classifying library materials in all formats for both analog and digital, taking into account international standards. To which has a group of professionals in information science.
The purpose of the library is to implement practical ways for users to access their collections for which they establish policies that allow uniformity, easy searching and interaction with the collections.

Local Classification Systems: the Library has implemented local classification systems for the organization of the following special collections (thesis, papers, brochures and magazines) that meet the needs of the organization of the collections. Examples are
